SATA Hard Drive Question

OK, well I was installing Pro Tools (an audio software - I'm a producer) and it completely screwed up my computer. So now the only option I am left with is to completely reformat my hard drive and reinstall Windows. The problem I have is that I would like to back up my data, but I can't since my Windows won't start up properly. And because the hard drive I have in this computer is SATA, I don't think that I can connect it to my other computer (I believe it is an IEDE). There is no way to connect it to that computer right? Or would I have any other options?

It's a Western Digital if that helps at all...

yea its simpler than that. just pop in the windows cd, and install it overwriting your old installation. none of your programs or anything will work on that installation, however you WILL be able to view and back up your old files and such.
