sata help

i have built a sata drive pc i just want to know if you have to install the sata driver by pushing f6 or wether you dont have to install the driver if you are only having one sata drive
 
you shouldn't need to install the driver typically as it is usually already on there, but if it won't read the hard drive, install the ones that come on the floppy disks that came with your motherboard

the reason im asking is even though my pc is running it wont let me do a ghost to a slave ide hdd and it goes to a blue screen whith a load of numbers and tells me to remove any new hard ware and to restart bloke in shop sayed it was because i havent put sata drivers on
