SATA power cable?

I'm new to computer building, and I'm trying to connect the SATA power cable (in my case, i only see one) to two devices (CD drive and a hard drive)

But what I'm asking is that the SATA power cable has two plugs...
Which looks like this

[power supply]------------------ +
+_______)

Should I plug both +s on the two devices or just leave the extending one alone?

yes you can!

yes you can connect them both:)
start with the one at the end of the cable
then the second and so farther...

I don't quite get your question, but you can plug two devices into the same SATA power cable assuming there are two connectors.
