Sata vs IDE

I looking at getting some new HD's. Some run at 7,200 RPM and others at 10,000 RPM. The question I have is the 7,200's I've seen have both IDE and SATA models while the 10,000 only have IDE. I thought SATA was suppose to be fast so why wouldn't they offer a SATA version of the 10,000?

Could you give us a link to the 10,000RPM IDE drive? I've never seen one...

And yes, SATA is the fastest. The only 10K drives I know of are SATA and SCSI. I feel quite sure IDE could run a 10K drive, but they just never made one...
