Save history

How do I get rid of the history of previously saved (dowloaded files) on my computer ? for example, I was downloading an mpeg file and clicked save as, it opened the folder and when I clicked the down arrow, I could see a list of saved files in the past, all of which have long been deleted from my system.

try to delete ur recent documents,or the temporay files from ur explorer

i did. I always do. in fact, i have microsoft's antispyware. yet, when i scroll the arrow as i explained, it seems to give a history of previously saved file.

it seems that windows has something like "log files". I do not know how to get to them and whether they can be deleted.

It's very simple yet very effective and deletes almost any recently used/accessed etc. files. Good luck.

Actually Malak, this sounds quite strange. The simplest solution would be by checking the path at the save as ( i.e. check the location for the save as) then go to that directory and check if they are stil there. But if you are sure you deleted them, there are some default downloader such as in firefox that keep a list of the downloaded files even after you delete them ( unless you delete the list)
