ok, so with the help of you guys, i've come up with a rig. my question is, could i change any of these components and getter better deals, like something better for cheaper, or something that's the same but doesnt cost as much, of if i just plain out dont need something?

Yeah get the OEM versions. They're cheaper but alas don't allegedly come with tech support, also MS's idea is some bloke telling me I need to pay £180 to get XP working. The Vista OEM disks come in a standard DVD case and even have a manual! SO the only real difference is the lack of stress from tech support and the lack of a nice case. And you stand to save a few hundred dollars.
