I ran the Panda scan and these were the results:

C:\WINDOWS\etb
Adware:adware/gator Windows Registry (No folder specified)
C:\Documents and Settings\Matt\Local Settings\Temp\6arab4.html
C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5\IHLENELS\track[1].htm

I was not able to get rid of C:\Documents and Settings\Matt\Local Settings\Temp\6arab4.html and of course I don't know how to get rid off the Windows registry one. I searched for C:\Documents and Settings\Matt\Local Settings\Temp\6arab4.html but no results were found.

If a system file was infected, and if you booted in Safemode, there is a slight chance that it deleted the system file. What you should try first is looking through your Add/Remove program list, since i know of some spyware that messes up your internet connection, either making it only view some pages or none at all. So after you do that and if you find something, un-install it, if that doesnt work, then i would suggest booting into safemode again and running your virus program and a anti-spyware program, such as Ad-Aware.

I just downloaded the new patch today. (It just came out today or maybe yesterday).

I don't want to reinstall it yet because I will lose all my bookmarks.

Thanks but it saved my bookmarks anyways.

I can always fix it by doing system restore but I ran an Ewido and Panda scan and I got rid of a lot of other junk so before I do that, I want to know if anyone knows how do fix it.

Is it the ETB file I deleted out of the Windows folder? Everything is working fine in IE.

Can't be C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5\IHLENELS\track[1].htm or could it? The file had a Firefox icon, not IE.

Well I restored my computer to earlier today and yes Mozilla works fine except all my bookmarks are gone.

woooooe! slow down cowboy!!!

Download/install CCleaner , open it and click the "Options" button on the left, then the "Advanced" link, then uncheck the "Delete files in Windows Temp folder only older than 48 hours" checkbox. Then click the "Cleaner" button on the left and then the "Run Cleaner" button at the bottom. Then go and do your Panda scan again. :)
