Scanner!!

:mad: i just got a vuego brisa 320U scanner and it came with no cd. i have downloaded the software mirascan and i have to open a graphic program (eg paint, photoshop etc....). this is the part that ticks me off really bad, the hardware is a usb type of hardware and microsoft says the hardware is okay to use and when i open mirascan it says no scanner detected. it does the same for any other graphic program, even using the microsoft scanning wizard and it says no scanners detected.
tell me if i buy a new cord or have to have the installation cd or there is no way to fix it or reinstall mirascan or the scanner is badly damaged an cosider getting a new one?
 
It sounds like you have installed the software to use the scanner, but not the driver for the computer to recognize it. Right click on my computer, click properties, click the hardware tab and click device manager. If you see anything in that window that has a yellow question mark next to it, then you need to install the drivers, which are seperate to the user software.

If that is the case and you do need the driver, post your model and I will post a link to a download location.
 
well there is no yellow question marks on the flatbed scanner and the problem is still there. the model is Vuego Scan Brisa 320U and it's usb.
