Screen capture software to record gaming

Hi all, I know I've been making quite a few random threads lately, and for that I apologize. I had a question for you guys that are experienced in recording videos from your computer. I'm looking to record some gameplay footage and such from my computer, and I need to find the right software to do it efficiently. My specs are in my signature for reference. I need something that has no watermark obviously, and something that I can record intensive games, such as Fallout: New Vegas without causing the game to lag. I would like to be able to record Minecraft and World Of Warcraft as well without any major issues. So start shooting suggestions at me! Thanks in advance.

I was worried a little with Fraps because I know that it does no compression, making the recording more taxing on the machine and I get the feeling that it would drop my FPS quite a bit, any input?

It's not that it's more taxing on the machine. The recording files are just very big.

I can handle big recording files. My only concern is I don't want to shell out the money and then it not work the way I want it to and be stuck in a cycle of buying recording software, just to test it out lol. Given my specs and whatnot, do you believe that FRAPs would allow me to record without lag? Thanks for the help by the way.

I've been doing some research today while at work on screen recording software, and I'm really leaning towards PlayClaw 5 found on Steam. Anyone have any advice on that one or something? Thanks.
