screen door effect

New Member
new computer that was built. New 22 inch monitor. Pictures seem ok but the print has a bad screen door effect. Would a DVI cable help this proplem? I have no idea what it has for video card etc. thanks alot...
 
On the front, look for menu buttons. Choose anything that has autofocus or focus options. Alternatively, change your screen resolution to something higher. If the screen comes with software, check that. It maybe the autofocus you need.
 
More than likely the native resolution for your monitor is 1680 x 1050, anything different to that will have an effect on the text. If your graphics card supports that resolution then set it to that.
I can't see that a VGA cable would cause this unless it was faulty, also ensure you are using "Cleartype" for your monitor. Enable it in "Display Properties".
 
Right Clicking on desktop and clicking properties gets you there. You will see display as a tab and there will be a drop down menu allowing you to chose your resolution.
