screen enter power save mode

Hi,

At my work continuously face a problem with some machines PC's which is:

The screen shows enter power save mode (black screen) and can't make it display until unplug the screen wait one minute then plug it again.

But sometimes also this is not work until I shutdown the PC and restart again and work.

The PC's are desktop Dell OptiPlex 755 Windows 7 32bits.It is joined to a domain network.
The screen also DELL

The solutions I tried:
1) change screen.
2) change VGA cable.

I appreciate your help

The POWER options in operating system may need to be reconfigured.
There are options which enable your HDD and MONITOR to go off after a certain period of time.
So set the current values to "NEVER" and that should solve the problem.
It looks like this on XP and Windows 7:

WINDOWS 7

Any help please? Could be the reason that the PCs need to be cleaned inside from the dust since have been used before along time.

or may be the power adapter of the PC needs to be changed?!

I can't believe all of the pc's are doing this. The only thing that comes to mind was a system wide update that was installed for the OS. Contact the network admin and see what was installed lately.

This does sound like a standby bug, there are 4 standby modes (explained here: http://blogs.msdn.com/b/omars/archive/2004/05/11/129553.aspx). I've ran into situations where the computer will not wake from standby, or other times it wakes but nothing is displayed on the screen until you restart.

You said you checked the settings, if it's set to go to sleep then that is your problem. Check the BIOS to see if you can select a different standby mode, as this would explain why some but not all are doing this. If you can't change it, perhaps you disable the system from going to sleep, while still letting the display go to sleep.
