screen flickers...

i dont know what to do... my monitor flickers on the top and the bottom constantly. i have ran many spyware programs and everything. i updated the drivers on my graphics card, still... i haven't switched monitors yet to see if thats the problem. I have a NEC FE991SB 19" monitor... any suggestions on what to do?!?? its really pissing me off.

sounds to me like its your moniter. thats funny tho seeing as ive never heard of any problems with that moniter, well i have heard of 1 but that was because they dropped it good luck tho, hope its still under warenty.

just on the top and bottom or all over? you can try setting the refresh rate to 85Hz if it's not already, it is the optimal rate for NEC's 19" CRTs

If the refresh rate is already above 70 Hz, then the flickering could be caused by a fan or other electric equipment that's too close to the monitor.
