Screen has rotated 90 degrees.

Hi,

My son was playing a game yesterday and the whole screen suddenly rotated 90 degrees to the right. We have done the normal, turn it off and back on again but unfortunately that hasnt resolved the problem.

Hopefully a simple command will return the screen to the upright position and stop me from having to read the screen with my head on my right shoulder!!

If anybody knows what to do I will be very grateful.

Regards, Nutty.

Tell me are you using an Nvidia Graphics card if you are please let me know and I will tell you how to solve your problem. If not I don't know to solve it with the other ones.

he must have pressed some shortcut key, like control, alt and left. or perhaps control, alt and right arrow.

neway, right-click on the desktop, go to properties, go to settings and advanced, and there should be an option around there.

If you are using a Nvidia Graphics card it will have special display options under the advanced tab when you go into properties.

In this part there will be an option to rotate the screen. If not then there will be taskbar shortcut to it on the taskbar (Duh!) and then it will have a rotate section and select rotate 90 degrees in the opposite direction

If there's a settings button on the side of your monitor (some monitors have their own settings, like mine), press it and then navigate around.

Just go to system restore, and select the nearest date before this happend.

system restore only restores the factory settings, i.e. .dll, etc etc. not the angle of the screen. :)
