Screen help!!!

My computer is connected to a monitor through a dsub, and to a tv through an s-video. Yet in order to view on either monitor or tv, the opposite plug my be taken out and the computer restarted. Is there any way to toggle between computer screens besides by doing this??

Any help is greatly appreciated.

just couldn't have helped could ya? if you cant tell i really dont know a whole bunch about computers and idk what "bumped" means anyway. but thanks for your help in telling me that i'm not going to get help... much appreciate it.
