Screen problem... it wont open

Hi guys, i have some problems with my screen...

You know when you press the button of your screen it open with a green light... and after, if you dont touch your computer, the light turns orange.. and when you scrool the mouse, it turns again in green...

well it DOSENT happen when i scrool the mouse... my screen wont open. I CAN access to windows (i can hear the sound when you enter to windows) with the screen not open...

so my computer works well..... it seems that my computer dosent reconize my screen..

Help me please :(
 
1) Are you sure the monitor is plugged in to the wall (power)?
2) Are you sure that both connection to the computer are secure (at the computer and at the back of the monitor)?
 
Is this a recent problem? Have you changed monitors recently or any other hardware, or did you just try to use your computer one day and it was dead? When you're computer "works well" are you sure it's actually loading windows(IE does the HD activity light blink)
