Hey guys.

2 weeks ago my computer, while starting up, looked like in the picture attached. Today it looks like that not only while starting up. Any ideas what's wrong?
Half a year ago I had a water damage and had to change the keyboard but it worked normaly afterwards. Few days back I also instaled more ram, but the issue while starting up appeared before the ram instalation. I also opend the computer again today and checked if every cable fits.

The computer is very important to me, while i'm currently writing a thesis. Any help is welcome :)

Does the screen look normal while booting up? What about in bios? Or does it only look like this after XP has booted? Trying to determine if your screen is cracked or if this is a different issue.

It's not XP. It's only a ''broken glass" walpaper with the image from XP. I' running windows 8.1. First it occured only while starting up the windows. But today it's allways like this. It's also like that in bios. I just restarted the computer and everything was normal. The screen was like before. Than I restarted it again and the issue returned

Either a loose or bad video cable or an issue with the motherboard/video chipset since it happens in bios as well. Don't think its a screen issue.

I just restarted it again and it works normal. I'm afraid of restarting the computer agan. I don't think it's the video cable.
