Is there any program that lets you record whats happening in your screen? So if im playing WoW I can record something so people can see, but with good graphics. Thanks.

FRAPS is always good. You can use the trial version and it lets you record 30 seconds at a time, and the full version($30) will allow you to record as long as you have space on your HDD.

Meh, i wouldnt know. I have only used fraps for recording, and nothing else. O guess its one of the best because the majority of the people on CF use it.

Yes, as Motoxrdude has said, whatever is the most popular is usually the best.....with the exception of operating systems, Betamax, etc... :P

I use fraps, and while it is very good, depending on the quality settings you chose, you may find your framerate slows down. It's quite easy to find that balance though.

Like the minefield pc video is, FRAPS will not run on my pc. I get a dialog saying I don't have the latest Catalyst drivers and offers a link to ATi. The reason I don't have the latest Catalyst drivers is that they mess up my graphics. I use what came in the box. At the ATi site, the driver page for my card specifically says that if your graphics are working OK, don't update the drivers.

Hopefully you won't have similar troubles!

not to be an arse but search the forums for the answer before posting

hypercam 2 http://www.hyperionics.com/ works fine. it will do video and audio.

sreen vidshot http://www.geovid.com/screen_vidshot/ has a nive gui. it record video well and has three different shot stlyes. but i have not beenable to get it to record audio.

the next issue you need to think of is what quality. you can cut the fps down and lower the resolution(some apps). then you need to compress it to divx or what have you. some apps do that for you. but if you want to edit the video wiht some program make sure you save your screens in a format your editing will accept.

Hey diroga, notwithstanding the validity of your opening comment (!), it is generally more effective to do a Google search than do a forum search. For example, I've always found that searching the Firefox forums gives really poor results. With Google, you get far more results including more from the Firefox forums.

1. i dont know what "Firefox forums" is/are.

2. if it dont work dont use it. i was refering the buit in form searching. see the top banner to the left

3. if you like trolling the internet for programs that you dont know the quality of be my guest. i find it useful spending the same time to find people's actual comments on the qualtiy and cons of programs aswell as geting the links.

4. :D

Firefox, the browser? I mentioned their forum because I've found doing an internal search has not been very good.

The point I was making is that a Google search will extract articles from all forums (Computer Forum is not the only group of informed people on the Net) plus a huge range of other sources.
