i installed command and conquer generals zero hour recently, my monitor is an 15" lcd, which does not suport 1200x768 resolution. but i selected that resolution in the game and clicked apply then my screen went black and says out or range. i quit to the desktop, eveyrthing is usual, i tried to run teh game again, i can hear the voice but the screen is still saying out of range. i did UNINSTALLED and than installed the game again. it doesn't seem to fix the problem. can anyone tell me how to fix this? any help would be appreciated.

I know nothing about the game, but most games have a safe mode you can run in basic VGA mode. Perhaps see about running that and then selecting a video mode you know you can run.

Ok here are exact instructions:
1. Go to My Documents
2. There should be a folder called Command and Conquer Generals Data, if not try turning on hidden files.
3. Inside this folder should be a file called Options, open it with Notepad
4. There should be a list of various internal settings, find Resolution
5. Change the line to Resolution = 1024 768
i put 1024 768 because that should be the native res for most 15" LCDs.
