script with php and mysql

Hello!
This is my first post in this site. Thank you for giving me the chance to participate here.
I have a doubt concerning web sites programming, in particular about php and its use with tables(through Msql). I want to create some script, but I don´t know how. First, I´d like to know whether I can ask a question about it in this forum or not(I am not very sure ..)
