Scythe Gentle Typhoon vs Silverstone Air Penetrator?

Im gonna have a complete fan overhaul on my pc and i want to to match for once but im stuck between both cause I've had gentle typhoons but 80mm for an old cooler but now I have an H80.

opinions?
 
Gentle Typhoons are good fans, but I've heard things about them not lasting as long as others.

Do you have links to the exact ones you're looking at?
 
The fastest Scythe would be about 57 cfm (cubic feet per minute) while the silverstone would be 35 cfm. The Scythe is also only 6 dBa louder than the silverstone.
 
sorry im not really an expert on fans but that means that scythe push more air in general right?
 
Yes and no. They will push more air if they have nothing to push against(like a radiator). I don't remember what the gt's have for static pressure, but I think it's more than the penetrators.
