sd card just stopped working

Hi
I have a Samsung galaxy note 10.1 tablet that is probably about 4 months old now. I got a dicksmith 32gb micro sd card class 10 that i put in it at the time of purchase. This has been working fine. Today I was using the tablet and all was fine, Put tablet down, picked it up 20minutes later and it said remove sd card, sd has been unmounted. I found it strange as i never asked it to do that. I removed sd card put back in and nothing. Doesn't recognize sd card has been inserted. Took out put into computer and nothing. No device will see it. Does this mean is has just died? Only 4 months old? I mainly have some photos on it I would like to try retrieve.
 
I would check the settings section of your phone and see if there's a section that may say something like "unmount SD card", tap it to say "mount SD card" and then put the card
back in and see if that works.
 
Its a tablet, not phone but that doesn't matter. I've tried looking at that. Under storage it has mount sd card but it is greyed out. Its normally greyed out if no sd card is inserted. I've put the sd card into 2 computers and nothing happens. As if no device has been detected. Was working fine then all of a sudden nothing.
