SD Card Memory downgrade?

So I would guess some of you know what Project M is (smash bros) for the Wii
I was wondering, is it possible to downgrade a SD card to be 2 GB if it is, say, 8 GB? Because the Wii only recognizes 2 GB cards, and I can't find my 2 GB card.
(yes i know it can't actually downgrade, but maybe there is a way to lock the memory so it reads as a 2 GB?)

Not really, SDHC cards aren't backwards compatible with normal SD readers.

A 2 GB Standard SD card should be $5 or less.

thank you. I can't seem to find a 2 GB SD card in any stores as they are old, but i'll try looking at amazon or somthing, was just wondering.
