SD Cards in series

Hi all. i am new to this kind of thing and was wondering if it were possible to have sd cards in series ie. 3 x 64GB sd cards in series to make a total of 192GB, so that the the pc or device would use them like a hdd.
just wondering if this were possible and if so where would i find the information as i have been to some places and they are looking at me as if i am on acid or something.
The whole idea started when i took a look at the raspberry pi pc.

ive heard about people doing this but...SD cards are slow for the most part, you would be better off with a SSD i think, and adapting it to the Pi
