Seagate Expansion from Macbook Pro to Dick Smith TV?

I bought a Seagate Expansion 1TB that is compatible with Windows but I have a Macbook Pro.

I reformatted it via Disc Utility so I could put files on it to watch on my Dick Smith TV (Australian brand). However, when I put the .avi files on and then plug it into the TV, it doesn't work.

I reformatted it again to exFAT and it still doesn't work.

I used my dad's 64GIG SanDisk USB and it works.

What should I do? Thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!

Voyager is correct, if you format it as the standard HFS Mac file system, that is most likely the issue. Formatting it as FAT32 should allow it to be universally read. Just note that there is a 4GB file size limit when using FAT32.
