Second Drive Discconect

Yeah, everything should be fine. HOWEVER, don't forget to shut the computer all the way down, and unplug it from the wall outlet before you open the case and take it out. Be sure your body is grounded to prevent static electricity. With your feet planted, you could just grab the inside metal edge of the case chassi with both hands for a second, then start taking out the hard drive.

If it is internal, DON'T! You might cause damage to the HDD and mobo. They blink after a while for refreshing as I've heard. Just don't do it if it is internal :)

WHAT?? You can unscrew the rack bay holding screws after pulling out the IDE cable and Power connector cable, and making room. Just be gentle. It will be fine. Crank up your knowledge and conquer your fear, NT61. While your at it, post a little more. IT WILL BE FINE.

Never hurts to mention what type of drive it is.

Never hurts to mention what drive it is that you wish to unplug.

Not sure what it is that your trying to say. Anyhow disconnecting a drive is not going to damage anything.

Power off your pc and unplug it from the wall, flick the psu switch on the back if there is one and remove the side of your pc. Touch the power unit with your hand to discharge static electricity and unplug what ever drive it is that you wish to unplug.

I thought he was thinking of unplugging it when his comp was ON.

If it's off, then it's fine

Oh :P I could delete above but nah :).
