First off, you shouldn't work in your computer when it is on. Second, did you set the jumpers correctly?

you plugged in a hard drive while your pc was running, and are wondering why your system froze? brilliant.

i connected the hard drive whilst the computer had no power and when i turned on the computer it froze whilst loading. so i restarted the computer without the hard drive plugged in and windows loaded then i plugged in the hard drive which then made the computer freeze.

when you turned on the pc with the hard drive plugged in, and you got the error message, that should've told you there was a prblem. what made you think that plugging the hard drive in after windows was loaded would solve that problem? you could've made your problem worse.

there was no error message it just freezes at the screen after the memory test. i didnt think that plugging in the hard drive whilst windows was oaded would solve the problem it was just trial and error.
