Second monitor

I have a hp pavilion dv 5000 and have a 26 inch SHARP lcd tv hooked up as a second monitor. I am trying to get the resolution and size of the desktop and all of the desktop items to the normal size that they would be on the monitor on the laptop. Whenever i bring the resolution up on the telivision white blurred areas appear. When i just plug it in it automaticaly makes everything big and poor resolution. Do i need a different driver or am i making a stupid mistake in hooking up the telivision. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you
 
Televisions cannot reproduce the quality a Monitor Can.

Try Right clicking Desktop

adjusting the Resolutions

Remember, you will never get the quality you will get from a LCD Monitor
