My pc is AMD Sempron 2600+,ASUS K8V-MX board,512 MB DDR, Win XP SP2.
I added another 512 memory stick and was worked fine for six months. Recently My OS crashed and while I attempted via xp-cd repair option, after bios check, Pc came to bluescreen(BSOD) with the message of 'page fault in non-paged area'. I removed the recently added memory stick and reinstalled OS. It is working fine. But when I attempt to reinstal the additional RAM and started computer, it booted upto logon screen. (even bios recognized RAM as 1 GB) But afterwards when logon, a window message pop-up saying "one of the files containing system registry data had to be recovered by use of log or alternate copy. The recovery was successful". With this message computer restarts again and again. Both memory sticks are working fine when used alone. Kindly assist.
