Secondary monitor will not connect

Today i installed new drivers for my graphics cards. I have a 9800GX2 and a 8600GTS for a secondary monitor. The monitor that is connected to the 8600gts is the only one that will work though. When i start Windows my login screen is on the monitor that is not working. I know that this is not a problem with the monitor. Also when the log in screen comes up i have always had to click in the box to type the password because it would not let me start typing in before i clicked in there.

Any ideas on what I should do?
 
Have you enabled Windows to use the secondary monitor?

Right-click on desktop, Properties, Settings.
There should be two boxes for the monitors.
Click the darkened box and check "extend my Windows Desktop to this monitor"
