Secruing a Wireless Network

My friend just created a wireless network by hooking her DSL line into a wireless router (802.11b I think), which is hooked into her computer and transmits a wireless signal to her Mac PowerBook with Airport Express. How would she make her network so that people in her apartment (150 ft. is the distance the signal travels I think) won't be able to access her network? Would WEP have anything to do with this?
 
Yes, set up a WEP encryption key, that'll do the trick. I believe windows's own network wizard provides the option to transfer all settings via usb flash drive, if you have one - making it easier.
