Semi-new build need advice, CPU & MB

Ok I think I’ve got most of this planned out to create a semi-new build with older parts I have to get me by for now. Here is what I was thinking….

GPU: 8600gt 512mb DDR3

With the lower end components, like the 8600 GT, I wouldn't recommend such a high end motherboard. Also, please avoid all Apevia products; especially their power supplies.

A 750i will be just fine..

I chose that motherbaord because all of the bad old components in time will be replaced im just using them to get by in the meantime. Do you think i can get by with them with that mobo and cpu?

Yeah, the 750i motherboards are great. There are a number of people here who would back that up.

What does everyone think about this board? I feel 3 PCI-e slots is kinda overkill...this board is cheaper and it actually supports faster memory.
