Is this just not possible for a Sempron?:D Thought you couldnt overclock semprons?

Please clear it up for me what it means.

Thanks;)

You can overclock Semprons, in fact people can get them much higher then 3Ghz. But that doesnt mean you can overclock that Sempron to 3000Mhz.

Hi [-0MEGA-],

Im not gonna be overclocking mine but when i saw that i thougt wtf...:D Thats not possible for just a Sempy.

I didnt know you could overclock them.
The reason i thought you could not overclock Sempys is because there cheaper processors so i thought AMD would have locked them up or something so its impossible.

No desktop processor is locked so you cant overclock it, the overclocking goes on mainly with the motherboard. However the multiplier is locked on all but the FX and Extreme series CPU's.
