Sending my computer to heaven

Ok folks here is what the score is....I have an old, slow computer that is doing my head in. My folks say that it is fine and will only get a new one if this one dies. So how do I kill the hardware subtly so that my Dad who knows a little bit about computers doesn't pick up on the euthanasia

These threads are wrong. People shouldn't destory their computers to get a new one. The last thread like this was removed.
