Sensors bad?

E4300 - I overclocked it to around 2.4GHz, after reading a post that said about the sensors being dead... When I overclocked my 1.8 to 2.4 there was ABSOLUTELY no temperature change. (wel... 1C up or down)... I am worried that the sensors and bad and the temps are pretty high... and way to check that?
 
My temps didn't change much from 1.86 to 2.4 either (E6300). I think you are fine. What are your temps? You can use Everest or Speedfan to check the temps.

Does it increase under heavy load?
 
I have not gotten all my parts yet. Iam jus tusing an spare 64MB DDR333 stick and Integrated unichrome graphics. MY video card+ 1gig is arriving monday from newegg. I am using BIOS readings.

PS: When I overclocked from 1.8 to 2.1GHz the temp dropped 1C:confused:
 
Wait until you can load an OS and check the temps. Then post back if you are still having problems. You can't do much this way. You have to check under load.
 
Did you have to bump the voltage to bring it that high?

Temperature only rises when you raise the voltage, raising the FSB alone will not increase temperature.
