Serious display driver errors - virus maybe?

Hi all, Im new here! I have a probelm with 'display drivers' on one of my computers.

The computer is a 'Tiny Pentium 4, ME setup and uses a NVidia graphics card. I cannot rectify the problems I face with the driver erros as I literally cannot view the screnn properly!

One reason why I suspect that it is a virus is that, the firewall is out of date, (I use the mostup to date version of AVG free) and windows have discontinued updates for ME. Once I started the computer and the screen was full of standard smileys, the female symbol and the numbers '464646'

Here are the pictures, hope someone can help me out here! Its a bity beyond me

HELP HELP HELP HELP HELP

when it is out of range you can restart and f8 go into save mode and change the resolution back to native. other than that this is sorta like a sign the monitor is dying. same thing happened to my lcd monitor and i had to rma it because eventually it will only show a white screen.

Well thats what I thought so I hooked up the computer to another LCD screen a dell one that normally works perfectly and the same thing happened.

When I turn on the computer, the monitor usually turns on along with it (orange light to green) However 9 times out of 10 the monitor does not switch on with the computer :S
