Serious Problem Need Help asap!

Hi,

My motherboard failed and therefore I had to buy a new one.
I wired everything up correctly and it wont let me into windows.
I have wired my hard drive up as a secondary drive on my brothers with his as the main.
I have a lot of work on my hard drive so I thought I would just wire it up and drag the files of.

I went to my computer on my brothers machine and into the E Drive (which is my hdrive) and then documents and settings and then double clicked on the folder with my name and got this message:

E:\Documents & Settings\Charlie Archibald is not accessible
Access is Denied.

What do I have to do in order to get the files of the hard drive?

I hope someone can really help me.

if you ask me seems like its lost its format and you cant do anythink all you can do is reformat

i dont know if theres a software that can recover hard drive data
 
sounds like its a access problem, not a format. I think i had this problem when i tried to get files off my dads computer, which all the logons had passwords. If u have passwords on your system, try getting rid of them and trying again. I think i may have used "file and printer" sharing, which might have loosened up the access problem also.
 
I got everything off the hard drive.

Used a hard drive recovery program called "Stellar Pheonix" its fantastic!!

Hope this helps someone else
