serious problem URGENT

Yesterday night I had my laptop run out of battery and I only noticed the next morning so all juice must have been gonne now I cant get him to start anymore.
when I start him after battery fully charged again he keeps falling into a black screen with a message they appologise but windows did not start succesfully. a recent hardware or software might have caused this blah blah and givesme the option to start in safe mode and so on. Noiw every mode I try the computer seem to reboot but keeps getting back on that same black screen with the same message?
I have tried to remove the battery but doesnt seem to do any good????
What is wrong with my computer did this running out of battery last night have anything to do with it
It looks like my operating sustem fell away completly???

yep in every mode possible went through F8 and tried to go to last known good configuration tried safe mode with networking tried every mode possible they all keep going back to the same screen

Is it set to Hibernate or sleep, if so files etc may have been written to memory and when the battery went it corrupted.
Can you do a "repair" of the OS

I got it to go to a blue screen now which says
a problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer
PAGE-FAULT-IN-NONPAGED-AREA
if this is the first time blah blah to restart your computer and so on.

anyone ut ther can make sense of that???
I can oly restart my computer by switching it off and on and then it goes back into the black screen to start in whatever mode but again doesnt want to go anywhere else???

I had a similar blue screen happen on a desktop. When a Linux live CD also failed to boot, I ran a memory test. The ram turned out to be bad, so I replaced it. I'm not sure if that's the problem you're having though.

how did you run that memory test if nothing started up?

I used the included Dell branded diagnostic utility that was available by pressing a certain key during the boot (around the time you see the bios). Your computer may come with a memory test and other diagnostics - check the paper or electronic documentation that came with your computer. If you have trouble finding that, you can always try a Linux live CD. They're free and often come with a memory test boot option.
