Serious Problems

I exchanged my last PC for another one of the same model due to the Fact that it Keeps giving me 2 Messages at startup. I really Can't make sense of whats going on. Both machines which have been brand new have given me the dreaded "Disk Read error, press CTRL, ALT and DEL to restart" and also "Reboot and select proper boot device or insert boot media in selected so on" occasionally it will arrive at the Windows startup screen and will go nowhere. This is 2 machines now, what could it be? I've tried rearranging boot devices and it doesnt seem to make a difference. I urgently need some help

Bad hard drive, bad or loose data/power cable from excessive vibration. What model of pc is this?

its in my signature. But this is my second machine, its too much of a coinsedence and all hard drive tests I have ran, have passed succesfully. Acer X3960

I dont believe so. Just the essentials (keyboard, mouse and AOC screen) but what I have used with both the machines is 2 USB wireless Adaptors to pick up my internet connection. But thats it. AzureWave NU120 N that im using and im unsure of the previous one. I used a different one on my first machine

Unplug the wireless device for a while and reboot the machine a few times warm and cold and see what happens. It's possible the usb is causing booting issues.

If I were you, I would take it back where you got it and get a totally different model system. Or have them diagnose the issue for nothing.

Indeed, will be having a Argument with PC world, as they cant obviously supply good quality machines. This since 2008 is the 3rd Brand new Machine I've taken back to that shop..... I mean are they careless with the equipment in the Warehouse in the back of the shop, to be honest it wouldn't surprise me if they were playing a game of cricket with each Delivery. Its always a hard drive problem...
