serius vista issues plz help

Yesturday my keybard and mouse stopped working in the middle of a vista session. I restarted the computer and they still did not work I could not even log on. I know it is not a hardware issue because I can access the bios. I have tried it in safe mode and it is the same story.I have no ps2 ports so I think it is a vista driver problem any help would be apreciated.

Try and see if the USB hub controller is corrupted in Vista. You may need to reinstall those drivers.

The board has a PS/2 keyboard port. If you have a PS/2 keyboard try that. If you can get into windows check you USB hubs in device manager. If you dont see anything, right click on them and hit uninstall, reboot windows and let it reinstall the USB drivers. See if the ports work then.

ok thanks I got to go dig up my old keyboard I have no clue where it is but I post if it works.
