Server issues

Hiya

Im new to computers and have a problem so could anyone offer me some advice please.

Ok so iv'e recently signed up to the internet and have a netgear router. I have a phone hooked up with filters and the router all set up. I have a ps3 which connects to the internet wirelessly and through an ethernet cable. it is currently set to auto aquire ip settings.

I also have a laptop which connects to the internet upon startup but after a while - say closing explorer and then restarting it i get a message saying internet explorer cannot open this page. After running diagnostic it says server may not be available. network connections are set to auto aquire ip settings and dns settings. If i restart my laptop explorer works again

I have no issues at all with ps3 just the laptop, oh and i did have an ip conflict problem this morning but haven't seen that since, and a proxy server error message came up saying ("proxy server not available") (not exact words sorry but i cant recall message) if any of this sounds familiar could you please put me out of my misery thanks again

Sounds like you could be infected, download malware bytes from www.malwarebytes.org make sure you download the free version, update and do a full scan.
