Service Pack 2

I'm new, so I'm not sure how often this problem comes up. But anyway, I have tried many times to update the service pack 2 and have always received the pop up message "ACCESS IS DENIED" about halfway through the update process. I've looked all over the internet for a a solution and found one on Microsoft's website (the link bellow). It did not work. Can anyone help? It seems to have something to do with the registry key HKCR\vnd.ms.radio.
"#-007 Deleting registry key HKCR\vnd.ms.radio
#E033 Error 5: Access is denied."

first, dont triple post. members hate that, they will leave a bad comment, or not totally ignore you.

second, service pack 2 is the most recent as far as actual releases (3 is out, but not out out), so there isn't any point to really update, unless there are patches or whatever. unless, you mean update to service pack 2. then let me/us know.

third, do you have a pirated copy or orignial xp OS?

fourth, is it the solution that doesn't work? or the link?

ACCESS DENIED
1. Sorry about the multiple posts. I wasn't sure what to classify it as.
2. I'm trying to update to service pack 2, b/c some software the I ordered over the internet, but has not yet arrived, said it required SP2 to be installed.
3. My copy of Windows XP is legal. But I did put XP on my dads computer using the installation disc and product code that came with my legal copy of XP. I have already updated service pack 2 on his computer. This could be apart of the problem. (?)
4. This solution did not work -> http://support.microsoft.com/kb/873148

I randomly started getting acces is denied messages when i tried to install the service packs. The only way i could get round it was to update it through windows updates.
