Services starting automatically?

Ok there is a service in the services.msc window that needs to be running in order to connect to my university's network but everytime I restart or shut down my computer, the service stops. How do I keep the service running?

enable it in your startup menu...so it will load up with all your other progs and whatnot..

Well technically it's not a program, it's a service. It's called Wired AutoConfig...

Yes I understand but startup will enable/disable progs, devices, services..so its for all types

Ok I checked it out and everything is selected to startup including ALL services it says.

yeah so you checked selective startup and made sure the services box is checked. try a reboot and see if that works for you.

Also, try going to start tab..and dobule check its enabled in the list...although it should be now.

Yup everything is checked like I said...still no luck

umm..check to see..with the Wired AutoConfig you mentioned is there a panel where you see a 'properties' tab/. if so, check in that menu for setting on how the service starts.

I'm hoping you will see an option to manually tell the service how to start.--You should be able to select 'automatic' ..that setting should start it with the computer on a reboot.
