set affinity

I'm running a sony with a dual core intel processer at 1.83 2gig ram,on some web pages ie ebay and the orange mobile phone takes ages to load yet on my other comp running xp single core 1.8, 1.3gig ram is alot faster at loading pages,if i open task manager and set affinity to 0 in iexplore.exe ill this make the pages load faster

I wouldn't have thought so, as far as I'm aware the only gain for setting one core is for older programs installed on your computer.
