I am building my first computer and had a question. I heard that you need to do certain things to a motherboard before you install it, somthing to do with flipping some switches or pluging in pins? Could someone please explain this.
I am using this motherboard, Click Here
And this processor, click here

Thanks,
Colin

depending on how you want your computer set up, you should first read your manual. Most motherboard manuals will give you a list of the different jumper settings as well as diagrams to show you where they go. You Configure all of this when you get the motherboard. Easy enough to do, and if you need help just pm me or e-mail me.

Most out of the box MOBO are pre-set and are on default settings, so there is no need for your to change anything, just install it and follow whats on the manual

That information is oooooold. You dont really need to do that anymore for modern computers ... while you may need to do some stuff you certainly dont need to mess around with jumpers and swtiches for the most part :)
