Setting up a home WiFi network

Hi,

I currently live in a flat where the Internet is provided via ethernet points on the wall. Until now, I have simply plugged an ethernet cable from the box on the wall into the back of my PC desktop.

I have now bought a router (TP LINK 150Mbps Wireless Lite N Access - http://bit.ly/nZFIhK) but come across a problem. Do I simply plug one ethernet cable from the back of the PC into this router, and another cable from the router into the wall? The router only seems to have one ethernet cable point on it though, which could make that difficult.

Are there any other alternatives to setting it up, such as buying a wireless adaptor to put into my PC?

Any help, much appreciated. Many thanks.

The device you bought is a wireless access point so it has no ethernet ports other than the input from the wall. Devices that wish to share the connection would need to connect via wifi so you would need to purchase a wifi adapter for your current PC.

If you would prefer to connect your current PC via a wired connection, you might consider returning the device you purchased and buying a router that has support for both wireless clients and ethernet ports for wired clients.
