ok i got a few cameras set up connected to a DVR which is able to be accessed over a network
i have asked my DSL provider to give me some static IP addresses so i can access this device over the net and not have to worry about the IP changing.
here is what i got
(i have changed them slightly for security reasons.)
broadcast IP: 120.170.50.175
gateway: 120.170.50.174
LP Range?: 120.170.50.168-175
subnet 255.255.255.248
here is my setup:
DVRs IP is the broadcast IP address, which all the ports are forwarded to it
i have the router in Gateway mode (not sure if it should be in gateway or router mode)
the routers IP is 120.170.50.174
it is setup for the routers DHCP to assign the IP addresses automatically between the 168-173 range for comps on the network.
the DVR is an EDSR 400F
i try accessing the device at 120.170.50.175:80 but it doesnt work, any ideas on anything i did wrong? is the broadcast address the correct address it should be on?
