Setting Up Dual Channel RAM

Im currently using a GeForce 8200 motherboard which supports 4 slots of RAM.

Currently 3 of those slots are occupied by 1GB sticks of RAM. So i have space for one more stick of RAM.

Would it be worth adding one more GB? And running it on a dual channel, how does this work and how do i do it. Also would it be worth doing.

Thanks.

Additional info:

Vista 32 bit
AMD Phenom Quad

From the amount of RAM you have I would say 1 more GB isn't going to do a lot. RAM is fairly cheap and dual channel will improve your performance a bit. All you need to do is plug the new stick in and the BIOS should automatically run it dual channel. There's really not too much you need to know.

However, if you are using the onboard video I would say that a video card is better upgrade if you are gaming at all.

Ok thanks. How can i tell which memory to get. I have a AMD Phenom Quad, that means im using a AM2+ board right? With DDR2?
