O.K, I should probably start this with a story:
Sometime ago, my older brother and I were trying to get dial-up over wireless to work. After sometime, we did it.
Now, my dad wanted to get one of those wireless cards for like $60/mo. They come in USB (the one he wanted). So he asked us if we will have wirelles for the whole house, and so I explained how we could do that. I said that all I need to do is stick the USB wireless thing into a computer, hook the computer up to a wireless router (via ethernet cable), apply the correct setting, and it'll work. He went to the dumbass squad (geek squad) and they told him that you need a special router, one that is brand new etch and costs $300!! They said that TWICE!
So my question is: Can I do the wireless thing in my way (minor changes, but that general way)?
My dad insists that they know what they are talking about. I say they have not effin clue. They told me I could put a video card into my laptop with intregrated graphics. The video card was as thick as the damned laptop! Aaaand the pc store in town said no....
