I have this annoying pop-up saying I owe £19.99 for some subscription. I know its adware (or spyware) but how the hell do i get rid of it!? Is there anyway to do so without a program, because thats costly?

There are tons of free programs out there. I would recommend using Ad-Aware and Spybot S&D (both free).

download "HiJack This", its free, do a scan, it will take about 20 seconds, then post the log of what it finds up here. Its not like any of the other programs, this creates a comprehensive report of what it finds, and then you select what you want to get rid of, post it up here and we'll guide you as to what to get rid of

try booting into safe mode and doing a scan with a few different spyware programs.

its a preference in internet settings, you won't crash your system, I don't even have a domain key in my registry
