Shall i install Linux?

I have a windows me & windows xp right now .. shall i install a Linux with those? And about the games, will they run better on Linux or on Windows? :)

I'am kinda good with windows but guess i need a site about how to install/uninstall and use linux..

here are my specs..
2.0ghz celeron
256mb ddr kingston
64mb intel 82845g ( integrated )

I would definatly recommend trying out Linux. I have XP and Linux (Ubuntu distro) and usually end up running Linux most of the time. You cant really run games on Linux though because most of them will only work with Windows. Check this site out: http://www.ubuntu.com/
 
Linux is a serious pain in the butt for most people. I really don't recommend linux unless you're a fanboy, rebel or are using it for a server or firewall. Don't get me wrong, it does have it's practical applications, but linux is completely unnecessary on the desktop and pretty much useless if you are a gamer. That is why even the fanboys dual boot. If you can get WINE to work, which is a really serious pain in the ass, you can get SOME Windows apps to work, but it is such an incredible nuisance that it isn't even worth the bother. I have quite a few different distros of linux actually, and the only one I am running currently is Smoothwall on my firewall box.

If you want to pay for shipping I will send you one of my Ubuntu CDs (Ubuntu sent me a bunch of them).
 
I reccommed everyone trys linux, Boot off your Ram, dont bother installin if u dont want 2 install it. bootable “live” CD like Knoppix or Kanotix gives you a fully portable operating environment.
